It hardly seemed like the 4th of July with all the turmoil of Ohio's and Virginia's storm damage, Florida's rains and Colorado's fires our minds were elsewhere. There was a lot of speculation that the city would not have a fireworks display this year with the power issues but at the last minute it came through.
Tim and I hung our oversized American flag in the front at 7AM and Tim was drenched in the time that it took to hang it....global warming? Mom and Dad came over for dinner about 5:30 and we played cards until 10:00 perfect for watching the fireworks from the deck. Next year I go back to a BBQ at the Crosby's!
Today is supposed to reach 105 in Lancaster with the heat index....yikes! Fall may feel pretty darn good :)
