another Max Lucado wisdom word...
No matter who you are or what you’ve done, God can use you. Because you’re imperfect, you can speak of making mistakes. Because you’re a sinner, you can speak of forgiveness. God restores the broken and the brittle, then parades them before the world as trophies of his love and strength. And when the world sees the ungodly turn godly, they know God must love them too.

I Corinthians 13:4 says, “Love is patient.
Love is a fruit hanging from the tree of Galatians 5:22. It’s the first-fruit and some say the most important. The seeds of love produce the harvest of all the other fruits: joy, peace, patience. . . So, if you have the Holy Spirit, then you have the potential of making patience a part of your life.

Snow days in Ohio mean sledding to all the kids out of school for the day!
Marla, Mike and the kiddos visited to go sledding down the hill...it was 10 degrees! Needless to say Nana stayed inside with Marla and Carrig!!!!

Joy in the Lord and our salvation is our strength :)
Salvation has nothing to do with our goodness but everything to do with His. Relish in the new commandment that Jesus gave us to show God and others how much we love love Him by letting our light so shine that He is glorified by the gifts that He has provided us.…because we show that love and mercy to others God’s mercy will follow us all the days of our life.
Carla
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
What’s truly incredible about that scenario is that we don’t do anything to earn our entrance into heaven. Rather, when we acknowledge Jesus as our Savior, He immediately provides each of us His robe of righteousness. That robe, His gift to each believer is all we have that allows us to one day enter into the presence of God Almighty. It isn’t based on our spiritual athleticism but upon His Grace. Congratulations, you’re invited to join His team!

Family is our greatest blessing!
Yesterday afternoon after Mom and Dad had left I felt so thankful that I still have my parents with me! We play cards (for Daddy) even though Mom and I won both games of hand and foot...We had enough pork and cabbage left over to send it home with them for their supper!
The Ohio State win against Alabama was the icing on the cake for the start of 2015 :)
God was good to us in 2014 bringing us through Timmy's health issues and we are looking forward to an even better and healthier 2015 for all our friends and family!
May the love of God and our love for Him inspire us to a greater level of love and devotion not only for our family but also to all the world. Let our light so shine before men that He is glorified :)

Have a blessed 2015!
Human love is convenient. It suits the needs of the person at the time and works into his schedule. God’s love is eternal. You are always on His itinerary. Human love is emotional. Hormones, sleeplessness, worry, past hurts, Mexican food—all complicate these emotions.
God’s love is committed. While God has feelings for us, his feelings do not dictate his love. His love is based on a decision to love us. Your actions don’t increase or decrease his commitment. In fact, if you never love God, he will still love you.
One thing human love has going for it– you can see it. God’s love is just as real but not quite as tangible. We will see it, in time and for eternity, as we gaze into the face of God and his Son, Jesus Christ, while we stand in the presence of God in heaven! And, oh, what a day that will be!
