It is all about the harmony of the Gospel in our lives

Paul said, “Let us try to do what makes peace and helps one another” (Rom. 14:19).

1 Peter 4:8 says, “Love shall cover the multitude of sins.”

Our lives can change in an instant....

Tomorrow is the 11th year of my only son's passing at the age of 28. Saturday his Maci Day visited. It was so good to see her and yet so very bitter sweet. None of us has ever gotten over his death. Maci and I laughed at the good times and cried over the bad times. We share a piece of Jamey that few share....the mother and the widow who love him so!

You are remembered in the stillness of the woods at the Quarry that you loved, and in the morning whispers of our prayers for you.....we love you Jamey, my Sonny One, we love you!

From Max on Life

A quiet time with God is very similar to a special date. Denalyn and I like to go to the same restaurants over and over again. When we’re there we remember special moments we’ve shared before. Our hearts open up. We talk to each other. We listen, we laugh, and sometimes we cry. I love those times!

So does God. A quiet time with God is very similar to a special date. Here are some tools to help you keep your date with Him special. Select a slot in your schedule and claim it for God. Take as much time as you need. Your time with God should last long enough for you to say what you want and for God to say what he wants.

Bring an open Bible—God’s Word, his love letter to you. Bring a listening heart and listen to the lover of your soul. Make sure your date with God is on the calendar, and do everything in your power to keep it special!

appreciate the love of God shown to you by others!

“Be cheerful. Keep things (your relationships) in good repair. Keep your spirits up. Think in harmony. Be agreeable. Do all that, and the God of love and peace will be with you for sure. Greet one another with a holy embrace. (2 Corinthians 13:11-12)

A trip to the Zangmeister Cancer Center to see Tim's radiologist (who is a REAL talker) and maybe a stop at the Leather Shop for him and Dick Blicks for me!

Have a wonderful day be blessed and be a blessing to someone else :)

Thank you Father!

James makes the same point in James 1:2 when he says, “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

another Max Lucado wisdom word...

No matter who you are or what you’ve done, God can use you. Because you’re imperfect, you can speak of making mistakes. Because you’re a sinner, you can speak of forgiveness. God restores the broken and the brittle, then parades them before the world as trophies of his love and strength.  And when the world sees the ungodly turn godly, they know God must love them too.

I Corinthians 13:4 says, “Love is patient.

Love is a fruit hanging from the tree of Galatians 5:22. It’s the first-fruit and some say the most important. The seeds of love produce the harvest of all the other fruits: joy, peace, patience. . . So, if you have the Holy Spirit, then you have the potential of making patience a part of your life.

How good is His mercies which are new every day :)

In Psalm 32:5, David says,“I confessed my rebellion to the Lord.’ And you forgave me. All my guilt is gone.”

Have a blessed day :)

Joy in the Lord and our salvation is our strength :)

Salvation has nothing to do with our goodness but everything to do with His. Relish in the new commandment that Jesus gave us to show God and others how much we love love Him by letting our light so shine that He is glorified by the gifts that He has provided us.…because we show that love and mercy to others God’s mercy will follow us all the days of our life.

Carla

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
What’s truly incredible about that scenario is that we don’t do anything to earn our entrance into heaven. Rather, when we acknowledge Jesus as our Savior, He immediately provides each of us His robe of righteousness. That robe, His gift to each believer is all we have that allows us to one day enter into the presence of God Almighty. It isn’t based on our spiritual athleticism but upon His Grace. Congratulations, you’re invited to join His team!

Family is our greatest blessing!

Yesterday afternoon after Mom and Dad had left I felt so thankful that I still have my parents with me! We play cards (for Daddy) even though Mom and I won both games of hand and foot...We had enough pork and cabbage left over to send it home with them for their supper!

The Ohio State win against Alabama was the icing on the cake for the start of 2015 :)

God was good to us in 2014 bringing us through Timmy's health issues and we are looking forward to an even better and healthier 2015 for all our friends and family!

May the love of God and our love for Him inspire us to a greater level of love and devotion not only for our family but also to all the world. Let our light so shine before men that He is glorified :)

Have a blessed day!

Have a blessed 2015!

Human love is convenient. It suits the needs of the person at the time and works into his schedule. God’s love is eternal. You are always on His itinerary. Human love is emotional. Hormones, sleeplessness, worry, past hurts, Mexican food—all complicate these emotions.

God’s love is committed. While God has feelings for us, his feelings do not dictate his love. His love is based on a decision to love us. Your actions don’t increase or decrease his commitment. In fact, if you never love God, he will still love you.

One thing human love has going for it– you can see it. God’s love is just as real but not quite as tangible. We will see it, in time and for eternity, as we gaze into the face of God and his Son, Jesus Christ, while we stand in the presence of God in heaven!  And, oh, what a day that will be!
