Another "Pumpkin Walk" at the Haunted Quarry has come and gone. Each year it seems to get bigger and better. The weather was absolutely beautiful this year in the upper 60's and that combined with the crunching leaves that surrounded us and the smell of an open fire created a picture perfect setting. This year after the hayride and before the walk through the spooky trails to find their pumpkins the kids along with Nana and some of the parents made the treacherous trek up the winding log trail to the upper crest of the quarry. They so enjoyed the sheer facade of the rock that in the spring is a waterfall and a frozen ice sculpture in the winter. We are blessed that they like to be there as much as we do....

Caitlyn missed this year's event she was singing out of state in the International Children's Choir but we tried to make up for it with an overnight and her own private hayride in the morning. It was crisp in the upper 40's but we snuggled under Pooh's wool army blanket and made numerous trips through the trees and fields. Pooh treated her with a never done before trip though the spooky trails that we reserve for the walk...she loved it and we made MANY trips with both her and Nana laughing like loons!!

We are blessed beyond measure and SOOOOOO very thankful!!

Have a wonderful week :)
