I am convinced that we are maturing as Christians when we honestly want only mercy and compassion for those who have sinned against us.....and only ask for God's goodness to touch their lives.

Ashley came through her surgery with ease...thank you Father! 

Timmy is a little better on this round of antibiotics.....but still on the couch :(

I am deep into learning....all kinds of things including the new PSCS6....quilting....card making....graphic design...Oh My!

Uncle Lloyd and Baby Ashley

Last night my parents and I went to the funeral home to pay our respects to Uncle Lloyd. He lived a long and full life at 96 and even though my Aunt will miss him dearly, they were married 74 years, I am sure that he is rejoicing in heaven. I always enjoy visiting with my relatives and I am thankful that we still have an annual family reunion. It seemed at first a sad place to spend yesterday, on the date of Jamey's passing, but somehow with family gathered it eased the sense of loss that I have each year.

My daughter, Ashley, is having surgery today I am praying for God to guide the hearts and hands of her Doctor, nurses and staff. It is supposed to be a 15 minute procedure..I will be glad when it is safely over :)

January is almost over....not a minute too soon!

Finally...we made it to the Huber's to play cards!


Tim is sick again....another call this morning to Dr Graham....another prescription....he is soooo tired of all this...so am I!

BUT we did go up to Mom and Dads' yesterday afternoon and played a couple of games of "Hand and Foot", which always makes Daddy so happy....I just told Tim not to breathe on them! The women won both games! I think I like it better when we both win one :)

We went to the grocery @ 7am this morning in anticipation of the snow...thankfully, it is now covering the ground and we are snug as a bug in a rug at home. The scene is so pretty from my studio window but I say a silent prayer for all those who don't have a home to stay out of the cold. I am grateful for "Foundation Dinners" and the work that they do in providing food 3x's a day and shelter for the homeless in our community....Gary Clum (my former Pastor) and his father do God's work with such grace:)

The month of January is hard for me.....the only good that comes is Cait's birthday. I wish that I could go to sleep and wake up when it is gone. Life sometimes sucks....but God in His wisdom takes the things that I know were meant to destroy me and my faith and makes His presence in my life the only thing that sustains me. One glorious day I will see the hope that lives in me and every tear will be wiped away forever.

Timmy is sick once again....the same old sinus infection that has plagued him since Christmas! We are suppose to play cards with Mom and Dad.....hopefully he will feel a little better by this afternoon :) Spring cannot come soon enough...

We had a Trade Faire @ Canter's Cave in Jackson County which is practically in our daughter's back yard. It was a long weekend but a big plus was that Kristyl's family came to see us and it....the girls were more interested in the pie but Kaeden got a tommy hawk!
After leaving the show we stopped in Columbus to pick up our Birthday girl for an overnight....we worked on her American Girl Doll purse.... sewing on flower creations! Pooh made her a pancake in the shape of an 8 to celebrate!! It is hard to believe how quickly the time has passed with Nana's Babies!!

The office called yesterday and let us know that Timmy's blood test came back and were not exactly stellar! We have an appointment on Friday with the DR. to discuss the results and his options. Pray for a positive meeting!

This morning I am going up to Mom and Dads' to help them use the coffee maker that was a gift for Christmas...OMGoodness I hope it is easy for them to understand how to get a cup of java and to just ignore the rest :)

Saturday night the Moloney's, me, G and Grandpa Jack had a wonderful dinner, courtesy of Marla, and Nana watched the babies while the grownups got to play cards.....Grandpa was thrilled...and the men won making it even more enjoyable for him :)

We bowl today.....and then blessedly an uneventful week to prepare for the Jackson event this coming weekend.

What a wonderful overnight with the Columbus babies....it went much to fast!

I was Cait's first sleepover in her new room....and got to attend her first spelling bee.....

and we even managed to set up the new MAC computer system in the playroom......

Carrig....6 months old.....impossible...he is so stinkin cute and he gives wonderful hugs!! 

The boys filled me in on anything related to the Skyland Giants and they let me be Ninga-Jenny ? an honor!!

Their are so many people on my prayer list this week, some family, some extended family and others friends of our church or family members of Pleasant Chapel.

I am so thankful that we have a God who listens to our prayers and has provided an advocate in Jesus Christ. Sometimes this life can seem overwhelming......without Him I would be without hope.

Last night I thought that I was catching the same bug that has held our family captive these past few weeks BUT I am feeling better this morning......

Yesterday the DR put Timmy on some antibiotics, hopefully, they will bring him some relief. More disturbing were the results of his Protime....they were low...so today he has to go to the lab to get a more accurate reading.....it is all about a balance! The good news...we made it up the driveway!



It is 2 degrees today.....yikes!

Timmy is still sick....I am trying very hard to be content being housebound....it is at times like these that I am thankful that I have a recluse mentality :)
