You are Unique

By Max Lucado

Each of us is an original.  Galatians 5:26, The Message

There are certain things you can do that no one else can.  Perhaps it is parenting, or constructing houses, or encouraging the discouraged.  There are things thatonly you can do, and you are alive to do them.
In the great orchestra we call life, you have an instrument and a song, and you owe it to God to play them both sublimely.

What is grace?

By Max Lucado
“My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
What is grace? It’s what someone gives us out of the goodness of his heart, not out of the perfection of ours. The story of grace is the good news that says when we come, he gives. That’s what grace is . . .
Grace is something you did not expect. It is something you certainly could never earn. But grace is something you’d never turn down.

My thoughts for the week..for whatever it is worth :0)

God alone controls the world and nothing happens that He is not aware of.  Jesus came to save anyone who would humbly accept that only God can provide the sacrifice needed for salvation, His birth, death and resurrection.  His salvation is given as a free gift to anyone who accepts it in love.

Faith alone pleases God but we should not use our freedom as a weapon against our neighbors. Who are our neighbors?……..every person born is our neighbor. We should treat everyone with love and respect… EVERYONE.

There is hypocrisy in God’s house but He will correct it, it is not our job. Christians are supposed to show God’s love to a dying world that others may be saved. God wants that no one perish, no not one!

Adopted

By Max Lucado

“Serve only the Lord your God. Respect him, keep his commands, and obey him.” Deuteronomy 13:4
Christ’s kingdom is . . . a kingdom where membership is granted, not purchased. You are placed into God’s kingdom. You are “adopted.” And this occurs not when you do enough, but when you simply admit you can’t do enough. You don’t earn it; you simply accept it. As a result, you serve, not out of arrogance or fear, but out of gratitude.

Each life is . . . a story to be written.

The Author starts each life story, but each life will write his or her own ending.

What a dangerous liberty. How much safer it would have been to finish the story for each Adam. To script every opinion. It would have been simpler. It would have been safer.

But it would not have been love.

Love is only love if chosen.
