Hebrews 6:1 says, “Let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity.”

It has been a low key week. Monday was a talk marathon with my besties but the rest of the week has been all about creating. Timmy finished his latest quilt with tea dying and we just finished snuggling in the dryer warmth  that he used to heat set it..

Life is good...with God in it!

The Breakfast Club

I am so thankful and humbled by my high school friendships that we call "The Breakfast Club". We have been meeting for 45 years and shared our marriages, our divorces, the births of our children and our losses in deaths. We have been a source of strength and comfort for each other in some very sad times and rejoiced together  in our many victories too.

Last night we met at my house with food and wine picking up where we left off ...it did not matter if some had a two year span between visits. Monday morning we met at Bob Evan's for a 4 hour breakfast....fitting for the "Breakfast Club"......we are so very blessed!!

Just R.E.S.T.

John 14:16-17 when he said, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper to be with you forever, the Spirit of truth. . .you know Him because He lives with you and will be in you.”

Be able to withstand the world and choose to do what God shows in His Word to be true! Not all people will appreciate your honesty but it really doesn't matter...... to Him be true!

Yesterday I went to Chillicothe to spend the day with my daughter Kristyl and her babies...we had such fun! 

We went to Hobby Lobby to pick out art work and then Lowes for matching paint colors for the walls in the restrooms at STS Peter and Paul where she is principal. They are very blessed to have her!! 

We went to The China Buffet for lunch where none of us had been ....we gave it 4 stars!!

 Ending it all was a quick trip to Sam's Club....woot woot.

Today it is back to the daily grind :0)...be blessed!

Weekend calm

Saturday night we played a game of Hand and Foot with Mom and Dad. It is always a treat for Daddy because he so loves to play cards.

Sunday we rested...after Church we went downtown to the Corvette Show so that Timmy could reminisce about all the corvettes he has had in his 67 years. Too fun! A trip to JoAnn's fabrics was in store to pick up filler for his latest black/cream quilt. I doodled in watercolor for the remaining afternoon....I love the softness you can get with this medium!

What a relief....We don't have to judge others.

Proverbs 20:22 says, “Don’t say, ‘I’ll pay you back for the wrong you did.’ Wait for the Lord, and He will make things right.” 

I spent a couple of days with the Columbus kids for Carrig's 2nd Birthday. 

He is soooo adorable! We ate and played our way through Wednesday and Thursday. It is always fun to spend time with my babies!

Grace, something we don't deserve and could never earn....a gift from the Father to all who accept it!

I’ve never been surprised by God’s judgment, but I’m still stunned by His grace! God’s judgment has never been a problem for me. Lightning bolts on Sodom…fire on Gomorrah… good job, God! Discipline is easy for me to swallow; it’s logical to assimilate.

But God’s grace?  Anything but. Peter denied Christ before he preached Christ. The thief on the cross was hell-bent and hung out to die one minute, then heaven-bound and smiling the next. I challenge you to find one story in the Bible of a person who came to God seeking grace and did not find it. I dare you. God gives a lot more grace than we would ever imagine.

We could do the same. I’m not for watering down the truth or compromising the Gospel. One thing is for sure. When we get to heaven, we’ll be surprised at some of the folks we see.  And some of them will be surprised when they see us.
