Psalm 23, “He makes me, He leads me, He restores my soul…for His name’s sake.”

To God be the glory :)

Another beautiful day in Ohio....high in the low 80's and a chance of T-Storms this afternoon. Perfect for a tin roof!!

I am grateful for God's intervention in my life and the lives of my children & grandchildren. He is a wonderful Daddy full of loving kindness to ALL even those who do not acknowledge  Him!

They are delivering the wood stove today....450 pounds....me and Pooh....this ought to be interesting!!

Have a wonderful day :)

Psalm 23:3 “He leads me in the paths of righteousness.”

It is a softly raining day here in the central Ohio Valley. As I sit in my studio I am filled with His peace, knowing that all things work out for our best when we place our trust in our heavenly Father...all things, even those meant to destroy our faith. When we are too weak to make rational decisions He is at His strongest in our life.

When He takes over He makes beauty out of the ashes of our life...I humbly thank Him...I love Him bunches :)

 Have a blessed day!

Psalm 121

David said in Psalm 121, “I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?”  And David answers his own question, “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip, He who watches over you will not slumber. The Lord watches over you. The Lord will keep you from all harm, He will watch over your life.”

Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always to the very end of the age.”

What a deep, abiding comfort knowing that you are never alone and that you are always loved :)

Yesterday was one of those days when knowing that meant a lot! The lawn tractor broke, the DRS office forgot to fax in Tim's prescriptions, no concrete poured at the Quarry and on the way to my cousin's the road to her house was closed....dear me!

Minor irritations in the scheme of life....John Deere had the part in stock (and I was able to catch up with a childhood friend of DD and my favorite (ex) BIL that I dearly love), we were able to run errands while the DRS faxed over the orders to the pharmacy and I managed to get us in a round about way on unfamiliar roads to Pam's.

They are @ the Quarry now pouring concrete..yipee!

God is good :)

Psalm 23 “He restores my soul.”

As long as the world as we know it exists there is hope to all who choose to believe!

The Wellston babies spent the night on Thursday...a trip to the farm, to Wendy's for ice cream, tents, a couple of rented movies and of course Tim Hortons for donuts and more ice cream...... ending with Nana's first 3D movie "Monsters University" on Friday! I love my babies :)

Sunday we attended Church at STS Peter and Paul as their Daddy became a member of the Church...we were so happy!!

Today they are supposed to pour concrete at the barn...yipee and I am going to mow the grass...early as we are supposed to get another 90 degree day :(

Have a blessed day!

Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to “boldly approach the throne of our gracious God, where we may receive mercy and, in His grace, find timely help.”

Joy in the Lord is our strength and His mercy endures forever.....

Yesterday they started siding @ the Barn...today we are hoping for windows :)

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

The barn is under roof....a BRIGHT blue roof I might add! I do believe that I chose an electric color for that roof! The siding arrives today so maybe the gray will tone it down a bit!!

We purchased a wood stove for it yesterday 425 pounds. OK.... and Tim and I are going to install this monster? This out to be interesting!!

I love the Quarry....it is too bad that my tree allergies stop me from being there over an hour without repercussions! Oh well I lived there as a child and always wondered why the heck I couldn't breathe!! It pays to have an allergist as a daughter....now I just need to refill those prescriptions :)

Have a blessed day!!

Rest, just rest!

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work; you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your servants, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day…” (Exodus 20:8-11).

It is finished

When God gave the Ten Commandments, and it came to Sabbath rest, His message was clear, “If creation didn’t crash when I rested, it won’t crash when you do!”  You know we need to rest. For a field to bear fruit, it must occasionally lie fallow. And for you to be healthy, you must rest.
When David says in the 23rd Psalm, “He makes me to lie down in green pastures,” he’s saying, “My shepherd makes me lie down in his finished work.”
With His own pierced hands, Jesus created a pasture for the soul. He pried loose the huge boulders of sin. In their place He planted seeds of grace and dug ponds of mercy.  Can you imagine the satisfaction in the heart of the shepherd when the work is completed and he sees his sheep rest in the tender grass? Can you imagine the satisfaction in the heart of God when we do the same?

Friday Marla and the babies bought me the first plants for the Secret Garden @ the Quarry....2 Endless Summer Hydrangeas!!!

Sunday Kristyl and family had us and Mom and Dad to their house for a Father's Day cookout...the food was wonderful! They got Tim a log that grows mushrooms....too cute!!

We are blessed!

Timothy 6:6, “Godliness with contentment is great gain!

To be at rest is one of the greatest gifts that we are given. I rest in the Lord most days of my life.....I am thankful for His salvation, His love and His gift of peace beyond our human understanding in times of trouble!

I am having an overnight with my grandbabies tonight...me thinks a trip to the neighborhood ice cream store is in order...yum :)

No Rain Today :)

Although it looks like rain, very cloudy, it is not in the forecast......maybe they will be able to work on the barn today. Yipee!!!!!

Psalm 23, “The Lord is my Shepherd,”

Sheep are not the brightest light bulb in the box......they are not capable of knowing how to take care of themselves...mentally, physically and spiritually.

Only in God, in His love and hidden guidance in our lives, do we survive! He takes care of man even when man does not acknowledge His existence. The very best thing that we can do for those we love is PRAY for His direct intervention in all of our lives!

It was a weekend of mowing grass...it rained the whole week prior! It is raining now.....the barn raising is waiting for sunshine :)

I am spending the night @the Columbus grandbabies Thursday night:) DD in Wellston invited us and my parents for Father's Day...they have a gift for Pooh (stepfather)!

Have a wonderful day!!

Do it God's Way.....sounds like good advice to me :)

In the game of golf, logic says, “Don’t go for the green.” Golf 101 says, “Don’t go for the green.”  But I say, “Give me my driver, I’m going for the green!”  Golf reveals a lot about a person.  I don’t need advice—whack!  I can handle this myself—clang!
Can you relate? We want to do things our way.  Forget the easy way and forget the best way. Forget God’s way. Too much stubbornness. Too much independence.  Too much self-reliance.  All I needed to do was apologize, but I had to argue.  All I needed to do was listen, but I had to open my big mouth.  All I needed to do was be patient, but I had to take control.  All I had to do was give it to God, but I tried to fix it myself.

Scripture says, “Do it God’s way.”  Experience says, “Do it God’s way.”  And every so often, we do!  We might even make the green.

Cloudy with showers :(

We had such fun with the Wellston babies yesterday...we played with the dogs, cats, goats, horses, fended neighbors questions about the runaway cow, got an egg from the chickens and fished!! Kami caught the first fish and DH caught 3 very large brim in their stocked pond!! Tim and I had to hold down the swing set (literally) so that the 3 of them could fly to the tree tops!! We managed even to watch a movie with Alvin and the Chipmunks.....we went to bed @9......that says it all :)

They are suppose to start the barn @ the Quarry today.....it is raining! We have a meeting with the builder  @9am we will hope for the best :) Rain, rain go away come again.... in about a week!!

Have a blessed day!!
